Melanie, your mom was a wonderful mentor and an even better friend. Our paths first crossed at Palmetto Elementary where I was in fourth grade and she taught second grade.Fourteen years later I got my first teaching job at Washington Elementary. I taught kindergarten with her, and was her partner in crime in many escapades. I loved listening to her stories of West Palm Beach back in the day. To this day, I always smile when I use a Sue Tappism. She was one of a kind, but you already know that. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

Dear Melanie and Family,
Melanie, you have been there for your mother as a daughter and caregiver for many years. I am sure she was proud of you as a wife, mother and teacher.
I'd like to send my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your mother and grandmother. I am sure she was proud of each and everyone of you and the many talents you have and the art, music and sports you all actively engage in. In the days ahead, if there is any way that I can be of help to you, please don't hesitate to ask. I will continue to keep all of you close in thought and prayers for peace of heart and mind. Denise

Going to West Palm to see Sue, Melanie and Beverly was always a treat. Her smile, her big hugs, help with math or reading were such a treat. She always had her hair and make up done " Just so." I wish my little ones had met her and my Mema, two for the most fun ladies I ever will know:) Miss them both now. My condolences to Melanie, Beverly and all of the family.
