Carl Anton Bratyanski

Carl Anton Bratyanski passed away at his home with his family at his side on Wednesday, September 7, 2016   He is survived by his sweetheart of 55 years, Florence, his “above average” children John, Robert (Randi), and Jennifer, his beloved grandchildren 2nd Lieutenant Michael Comiskey, USAF and Polly Bratyanski, and sister Marianne Monaghan of Sun City Center, Florida.  Also surviving are numerous loving nephews and nieces whom idolized their kind and giving uncle.
Mr. Bratyanski was born on March 4, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from St. Mel’s High School in Cicero. Carl served in the US Air Force in the late1950s and spent his career in international logistics. He retired from Homelite-Jacobson in the early 1990s.  Carl enjoyed his early retirement helping out folks at Blackhawk Hardware. He was an avid tinkerer, handyman, historical enthusiast, and devout Catholic.  A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, Sept. 12th at 1pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church ,6828 Old Reid Road with a reception to follow in Pharr Hall.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, 1420 E 7th St, Chlt, NC, 28204.  Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center is entrusted with the arrangements.
