Welcome to the memorial page for

Carmen Lillana Navarro

January 4, 2017

Carmen Liliana Navarro was a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. She touched the lives of every single person she ever met. Her smile would light up an entire room even when it was dull. Raised in Colombia, Carmen completed high school and pursed a career in interior design until her beautiful daughter - Claudia Arias - was born. Carmen raised her daughter with so much strength, passion, and love. She was a single mother and did everything in her power to bring food to the table and keep a roof to live under. Carmen climbed mountains, swam seas, and moved ground to bring a smile on her daughter's face. Claudia was the daughter Carmen always wanted to have. They were inseparable. Carmen was Claudia's eyes, ears, hands, heart, and soul. They completed each other with so much happiness and love. Carmen also became a second mother to her son-in-law, Diego. They shared so many coffee dates and laughs together. Not only was she the best mother any could have asked for, but also the best grandmother to two beautiful grandchildren - Juan Diego and Salome. She gave us care and spoiled us with so many kisses and hugs. She danced around and sung Helenita Vargas as I serenaded her and Salo danced with her. Her laugh was so stunning and her fashion was jaw-dropping. There was not a day in her life that my grandmother did not dress well. She always had her fine jewelry and her prestigious make-up on. She welcomed everyone into her life and humbled everyone's perspective of life. I had the honor to give her to God. I held her hand and head as I prayed to God to bring her peace and joy. He did.
