Caroline (Floriana) Pardi

Caroline Pardi, age 95, joined the Heavenly Kingdom on May 2, 2017. Born in Italy on July 28,

1921she was the daughter of Frank and Lina Pardi. With her family, she immigrated to the U.S. in

1938 to New York City. She was a graduate of Hunter College and obtained a Masters in Spanish from

Columbia University. She also studied at the University of Salamanca, Spain.

She was a well-respected and beloved language teacher at White Plains High School, White Plains,

NY. She appreciated language, culture and art and loved to travel visiting dozens of countries

around the world. She was also an avid opera lover and was a season ticket holder at New York's

Metropolitan Opera for many years. Upon retirement, she moved to Charlotte and was an active member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sisters Mary Bass of Charlotte and Valerie Beltramello (Paul) of South Windsor, CT. She is also survived by her nieces Melissa Bass Burum of Atlanta, GA and Maria Beltramello Smith of Middlebury, CT as well as nephews David Beltramello of Suffield, CT and Mark Beltramello of Georgetown, MA

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM Monday, May 8 at St Gabriel Catholic Church,

3016 Providence Rd. Charlotte with Fr. Frank O'Rourke officiating. Burial will take place at Sharon Memorial Park.

In her memory, contributions may be made to St. Gabriel Catholic Church or to Holy Angels, Belmont,
