Clinton Lee Deese

Clinton Lee Deese of Mooresville, NC, formerly of Charlotte, died August 20, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Born February 17, 1933 to Curtis and Lottie Deese
of Marshville, Clint graduated from Marshville High School and served two years in the U.S. Army. He was employed as Maintenance Supervisor for American Cyanamid Co.
and Freedom Chemical Co. until retirement in 1992. Clint was a friend to many - a kind, gentle soul who would do anything to help anyone. In his younger days he loved to drag
race (winning many trophies), and son Steve followed in his footsteps. Left to mourn his loss are his beloved wife of 64 years, Lorraine Strawn Deese, our wonderful son Steve (Cindy);
 two precious grandchildren, Connor Deese and Stephanie Deese; brothers Eugene (Mary) Deese of Marshville and Gary (Ellen) of Mooresville; and sister Frances Kohler of Park Forest, IL; uncles Charlie Deese and Hugh Curlee;
nieces Sherry Deese Medlin and Karia Kohler Lutz; and nephews Jimmy Deese and Chris Deese.
Memorial service will be at Austin Grove Baptist Church in Marshville on September 10 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Gordon Hospice
House, 2341 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28625, or Austin Grove Baptist Church, 5919 Austin Grove Baptist Church Rd., Marshville, NC 28103. Reception immediately following service in the Fellowship Hall.
