To the Whorton family, my deepest sympathies on your loss. I was stationed with him in Germany back in the 70's. He was a good n funny guy back then. We were just kids serving our country. I was just talking about him to our fellow 141st Alumni recently. On behalf of our fallen brother I would like to honor him on our page. Permission requested.
God Bless n may peace be with you and yours in this late posting.

It's been said many times that the size of a man is not measured by his physical being yet that of the heart and soul and the effects they have had on others. For that very reason David will always be known as a giant amongst mortal men. Love and respect for others emanated from him as no other. Though I'll never achieve it, I shall try from this point on to be more like him. As for you Diane, you should know that you and your love for David gave him the wonderful spirit that we all share the appreciation for at this time. God bless you and the entire family as you are all so very special in ours. With Love, Van & Donna Sullivan

This is a a tribute for someome who from being in my family, left me a better person from knowing him and loving him. He will be sorely missed and always remembered. There are few people like him and with mixed feeling of sadness and relief for him and his family, I firmly believe, until we meet again, rest well. Love you
