Dorothy Ann (Lanphier) Wilson

Dorothy Ann Wilson, 87 of Charlotte, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017.  Dorothy Ann, daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy Lanphier moved to Charlotte in 1958.  She was preceeded in death by her husband Thomas Hugh Wilson, the love of her life for almost 60 years; son Mark and brothers David and Peter Lanphier.

Dorothy Ann (Dorie) as she was referred to her by her grandchildren loved her family with all of heart. She is survived by her sister Margot Cady;  children, Rosemary (James) Loftus, Tom, David (Michelle) Wilson, Amy Hearn (Ron Smith), Todd (Trish) Wilson and Kip (Robin) Wilson; grandchildren Erin (Jason) Seneker, James III (Hanna) Loftus, Chris, Kari Ann, Brandon Wilson and Morgan Hearn; honorary grandchildren Casey and Brenden Hammeke and great-grandchildren Lila Kate, Dillon and Collin Seneker, James IV and Jack Loftus

 

The family will greet friends on Saturday, June 3rd from 10-11 AM at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 6828 Old Reid Rd, Charlotte.  A Memorial Mass to celebrate  Dorothy Ann’s life will follow at 11AM.
