Emily Young Ellsworth

   Emily Young Ellsworth, 99, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Novant Medical Center in Matthews.  She was born June 12, 1918 in Greensboro to the late Raymond and Jessie Barker Young .                                    
   Emily grew up in Charlotte, and was a long time member of Memorial United Methodist Church   She was involved in many church functions with the Happiness Club Circle. Her life passions were her family and church gatherings. She loved cooking for everyone, gardening, sewing, and making crafts. Emily always loved being with her family and friends and loved them with all her heart.
  Mrs. Ellsworth is survived by her son, Charles (Chick) Ellsworth,  daughter Virginia(Ginny) Ellsworth Ball both of Charlotte and many nieces and nephews Over 129 within four generations.
She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters John, Raymond, Charles, Jessie Young Wallace, Harold, Betty, Grace Young Carson, Richard, Kenneth, and Sue Young Mckenzie.
   A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 22nd at 4PM at Memorial United Methodist Church, 4012 Central Ave., Charlotte.  Interment will be private.
