James Dwight Dearman, of Fort Mill, S.C, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at the age of 78. He was the youngest son of O.A. and Esther Dearman of Harmony, NC.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of 29 years, daughter, Susan Dearman Head (John) of Mooresville, a son, James Dwight Dearman, Jr. of Charlotte, 3 step children, Lori Linn (Kyle) of Fayetteville, AR, Susan Mass (Tom) of Ankeny, IA and Joel Barvinek (Cheryl) of Lake Wylie, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jim was a graduate of Milligan College in Johnson City, TN and worked for many years in the accounting field. He was an active and dedicated member of Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church.
He was an avid hunter and golfer. His passions were Tar Heel basketball and spending time with his many friends and loving family. He could brighten a room with his infectious laugh and incredible sense of humor.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 2nd at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall. The Honorary Pallbearers are Joel Aelick, Ron Blake, Lee Dempsey, Robert Fagg, Bill Navarro & Donna Wood.
