Jimmy (Paw Paw) was born in Charlotte, NC on December 1, 1944.  He was married to his beloved Theresa for 55 years,  They started their love story when Jimmy was 17 and Theresa was 15.  This couple grew up together and experienced life together as best friends and soul mates.  Jimmy retired from the City of Charlotte after 25 years but was presently contracted with the city working part time. He planned to retire in December of this year to spend all of his free time with his wife, grand daughters Ella and Emry and play in his freshly renovated garage with his cars.  He enjoyed working on his cars, previously fixing up his Elcamino and also just bought a 1963 International Scout to fix up and sell at the auto fair in the Spring.

Jimmy loved his family, cars, his beloved supportive church community and playing with "Paw Paw's girl," his grand daughters Ella and Emry.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Theresa, his three sons Jimmy Jr, Terry, Jerry, all his grandkids and the rest of his family and friends.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his Mother Mary Liska, his brother Wade, his sister Becky, daughter Angela and his grandson "Mattie Boy."

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be donated to the building fund for Calvary Baptist church at 2727 Mount Holly Huntersville Rd. Charlotte, NC 28214.

Anyone and everyone that has met this incredibly kind hearted man will forever be touched by him in some way. His loving, giving and faithful heart will live forever in our hearts and memories. Jimmy can finally be at peace, pain free, worry free and in pure bliss in heaven. They will all be waiting for him at those pearly gates. Angela, his daughter and Matt, his grandson will for sure tell him "Its about time you came to us, we've missed you and now its time to spend the time that we lost together. They will all def greet him with a huge platter of cake!!!! lol.

Thank you everyone for your support, sympathy and condolences because you are in fact making him proud!
