Mary Judith (Kelly) Howard

Mary Judith Kelly Howard, 74 of Charlotte, passed away on April 18, 2016. The daughter of the late Bulo and Julia (Burgin) Kelly, Mary  was born on March 8, 1942 in Old Fort, NC. A Charlotte resident since 1973, Mrs. Howard worked in Child Nutrition for the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. She retired in 2004 after 20 yrs of service. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, and her 8 siblings Ervin Kelly, Frances Kelly, Irene Kelly Huff, Clifford Kelly, Clara Kelly Boger, John R. "Jay" Kelly and Guy Kelly and Hazel Kelly Vastag  and her dog Riley.
She is survived by her 3 children Eric (Heidi) Howard and Jennie (Richard) Stahnke all of Indian Trail, Robert (Bonnie) Howard of Charlotte; brother Bill (Barbara) Kelly of Sierra Vista. AZ.; sisters Susan Bentley of Charlotte and Polly Kelly of Asheville; her five grandchildren Hayden, Maddie, Cameron, Logan and Mary Nell.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 2 PM at Avondale Presbyterian Church, 2821 Park Rd, Charlotte.
