Mary Arrowood Jordan

Mary Arrowood Jordan of Charlotte, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017. Born in McDowell County, Mary was the daughter of the late Lucille (Gallion) Arrowood and Boyd Arrowood. She worked as a hairstylist at Amity Stylist and Studio 7 for many years. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son  John Thomas Jordan, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 48 years John Thomas Jordan, Jr. “aka Tom or Pops”; children Michael Jordan and wife Beth, Stephen Jordan and wife Michelle, Glenda "Sissy" Seymour and husband Bobby, Pete Jordan and wife Hayley, Tracey Newton; grandchildren Sydney, Tommy, Lexi, Lorien, Gabby, Grayson, Brittany, Hunter, Peter, Tom, India, Ollie J, Dade, Laura, Ollie N, Beth, Hannah; great granddaughter Cora Rose. Also surviving are her siblings Callie Prince and husband Herman, Wayne Arrowood and wife Bea, Charles Arrowood and wife Shirley; several nieces and nephews, and extended family Scott and Shellye Loggins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte, with a service to follow at 2:00PM with Reverend Dale Shields officiating. A private interment will take place at Macedonia Baptist Church, Nebo, North Carolina.

I want to thank my husband and children. I wish to thank all my friends who have stood with me thru this journey. To my clients, you were not my clients, but my friends. Thank you for your love and prayers. I love you all, Mary.
