I am so sorry that I can't be there to extend my condolences in person. Mary Lou was a wonderful friend, and we were proud to have her as our son's godmother. One of my best memories is seeing her make her jazz vocal debut at the end of a class she enrolled in at CPCC. Always up for a new challenge!

Although I did not know Mary Lou well, she touched my heart with her gentle spirit and enjoyment of life. Times spent with her and John in the mountains of North Carolina and her music making will stay will me.

I was so sad to hear of Mary Lou's passing. Even though I didn't see her often, when I did it was a joy. Her bright smile, her kindness and goodness, her gift of music will not be forgotten. She touched so many people's lives - including mine. I loved her dearly. You were so lucky to have her as a part of your family. She will be missed. I know there is a bright light in heaven today! May God comfort you during this time especially through the music that she so dearly loved. Peggy
