Robert Lee Hardin, Jr.

Robert Lee Hardin, Jr., 77 of Huntersville, went to his heavenly home on November 23, 2016.  Robert was born in Belmont,on January 13, 1939.  He graduated from Belmont High School and was employed by Duke Energy, from which he retired in 1994 after 36 years of service. Mr. Hardin joyfully served the Lord as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and Gideon.  He was passionate about music, especially southern gospel, and enjoyed serving as a minister of music over the course of 30 years. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Judy Hardin; his son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Elisabeth Hardin of Concord, ; his sisters, Nancy Fowler (Joe) and Cordie Armstrong; and three grandchildren, Beck, Billie, and Emaline Hardin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Estelle Hardin; sisters Paula Hardin and Martha Frye; and brother James Hardin. Visitation will take place Saturday, December 3rd at 1pm at The Meeting Place, 600 Peachtree Rd. Charlotte, NC 28216 (formerly Emmanuel Baptist Church), with a memorial immediately following at 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Gideon's International, POB 2232, Cornelius, NC, 28031.
