Robert Franklin Myers died peacefully on Wed., Sept 7 at age 67. Bob was known for his craftsmanship and ability to fix anything. A favorite quote was, “If I can’t fix it, it’s not broken.” He was loved by his family and friends, and spent some of his happiest hours on Lake Wylie, sailing, boating, and pulling his little brother and sister around on water skis. He loved old tools, macaroni and cheese (the homemade kind, not from the box), a good ham, butterscotch milkshakes, Mom’s pecan pie, and the ginger lilies in his backyard. He is survived by his twin sister Jane, his little sister Kim (Tom), beloved friends Diane, Kimmie and Ron, his daughters, and extended family. His parents and brothers Bill and Michael were waiting to show him around Heaven when he arrived. Bob loved children and animals, especially his dogs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society of York County (humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org) or Beds for Kids (bedsforkids.org). A private memorial service will be held at a later date for family and friends.
