Ronald Lee Reavis

Ronald Lee Reavis passed away peacefully at home in Fort Mill, SC on November 13, 2017. A Memorial Service and Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Doby’s Bridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill, SC (2500 Doby’s Bridge Rd). In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Gideons International or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Ron was born February 2, 1944 in Charlotte, NC to Ava Lee Whitley Reavis and Fred Homer Reavis.   He was married to Carolyn Ann Vick on February 22, 1969 in Rock Hill, SC. Ron is survived by his wife, his son Victor Reavis and wife Catherine, his brother Cecil Baxter Reavis and wife Betty, and granddaughters Naomi and Hannah Reavis.

Ron had a very productive life and contributed greatly to everyone around him. He was educated in the Charlotte school system and graduated from Harding High School. He attended Charlotte College, which became UNCC.  Ron served in the National Guard for 4 years, and was discharged at the time of his son’s birth.  He was a Mason, a Shriner, a Gideon.

Ron was well known in the real estate community. He had a background in construction from his work with Family Dollar, Bojangles, and Boston Market. He began working as a real estate broker and started his own company, Access Real Estate.

Ron enjoyed traveling and taking vacations with his family. He liked coastal fishing, golf, and recreational shooting. He loved to volunteer his time helping his community and serving in the church. He enriched our lives, and will be greatly missed until we meet again.
