TAJ PAPER WIDENHOUSE
After having him with us for 13 years, Taj left peacefully from home on November 29, 2016. If the gods are good, Taj’s spirit is just out of our sight running, singing, and eating an ice cream cone! He spread joy to everyone with his big smile, especially these family members who loved him: Taj's devoted dad, Rob (Paper) Widenhouse; grandparents, Candie Leyvas & Pressly Beaver; great aunt & uncle, Brenda & Gary Knight; and cousins, Marygrace & MacGregor Knight. Taj's grandfather, Bob Widenhouse, and his aunt, Cathi Meredith, left this world ahead of Taj, in 2008 & 2012. Maxx Crawford and Charlie Morrill also survive Taj.
There were many helpers in Taj’s short life. Two special helpers were his favorite nurse, Patrice in Charlotte (Interim Healthcare), and his favorite teacher, Miss Brenda in Boise ID (Horizon Elementary). We hope all Taj’s helpers know how much the family appreciates their contribution to his life.
Taj made a surprise entrance into our world on April 5, 2003, at Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas USVI. Rob will rest Taj's ashes in the beautiful, blue ocean waters surrounding St. Thomas at a later time. If friends would like to remember Taj in a meaningful way, we suggest seeking out a special child who needs a helping hand. Make their journey happier in some small way. The possibilities are endless.
"A pessimist, they say, sees a glass as being half empty; an optimist sees the same glass as half full. But a giving person sees a glass of water and starts looking for someone who might be thirsty." - G. Donald Gale
