Ann Grace Doolittle Farnum of Charlotte, NC passed away unexpectedly on March 23, 2018 with her family at her side.
Born in Worcester, MA on July 2, 1927, Ann was the younger daughter of Clyde and Grace B. Doolittle. She was committed to her community as a volunteer EMT, she compassionately helped the elderly, and served as a member of her church choir. Proud of her family’s contributions to our nation’s history, Ann was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She instilled a sense of pride, devotion to education and made friends everywhere she went.
Ann was predeceased by her husband, Forest, in 1992 and her eldest daughter, Jane Fosmire, in 2004. She leaves behind two daughters and their husbands: Susan and Dr. Dev Batungbacal of Marietta, GA, Christine and David Belanger of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren: Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Grace Batungbacal and husband Melvin Parada of Washington, D.C., Tyler Comings and partner Caitlin Isbister of Boston, MA, and Audrey Ann Batungbacal, husband Evan Krupa and great-granddaughter Kamea Jane of New York City; her brother Bud and Connie Doolittle and their children of Hingham, MA.
A memorial service is to be held on Saturday September 22nd. At the
First Congregational Church, 28 Green Street, Gardner, MA. Service at 1:30pm.
Donations can be made to the Arlington Women’s Memorial in Ann’s memory at www.womensmemorial.org. The family will be announcing a memorial service in her honor.
