Ann E (Gomes) Pinto

It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Pinto announces her passing after a brief illness on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the age of 89 years.

Ann is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her children: Louis (Olga), David (Edwina), Francisco (June), Olga, and Lawrence. Ann will also be fondly remembered by her many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Siblings, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Ann was predeceased by her Parents: Nicholas and Leonzia Gomes, Father/Mother-in-law: Louis and Rose Amelia Pinto, Husband: Diego Pinto, Brother: Dominic Gomes, Granddaughter: Maria Carvalho, and Daughter-in-law: Celina Pinto. 

She worked hard and strived to make a better life for her and her kids. Ann was always humble and thankful to God - going out of her way to help those in need. All who knew her, will miss her enthusiasm for life, her strong will and determination, and her love for her family.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at 6:00 – 8:00p.m., at Carolina Funeral & Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Ann on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd, Charlotte, NC 28211, with Reverend Frank O’Rourke presiding.

Burial will take place directly after the Mass at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.  A gathering of Family and Friends will be held after the burial at 504 Lorna Street, Charlotte, NC 28205.
