Christopher Sherrill

Mr.Lawrence Christopher Sherrill passed away in his home in Lancaster SC on December 26th 2017.

He is survived by his mother Alice Sherrill, his sister Ann Sherrill, wife Evelyn Sherrill and children Amber and William Sherrill. He is proceeded in death by his sister Kimberly Hamlet and his dad William A Sherrill.

Chris was born and raised in Charlotte NC to Alice sherrill and his late dad William A. Sherrill.

He was surrounded by love he had his two sisters Ann and Kimberly and all of his cousins and aunts and uncles. He graduated from Garinger  high school.

After high school he joined the Air Force  And was in the Vietnam war were he became a Sargent. He was proud to serve and he loved his country. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force due to medical reasons.

He married Evelyn in 1987 and his first daughter Amber  came in 1988 followed by son William in 1990. 

He was known to be a workaholic and at times has multiple jobs to support his family from delivering luggage at Charlotte Douglas airport to driving a school bus for Charlotte Mecklenburg schools. He fully retired in 2009 due to being 100 percent disable. In 2007 he bought property in Lancaster SC he wanted to live the quiet country life. 

The last several years he had two wonderful friends that helped him. Jessica Gilreath whom made sure he made all his appointments and took all his medicine. Michelle Small who would cook him homemade meals and talk to him for hours.

He has a passion and love for dogs if he found one on the side of the road he would bring it home with him. He enjoyed being around his family and friends and being able to spend quality time together. Another of his passions was sports he didn’t have a favorite he loved them all but his two absolute favorite teams were the Carolina panthers and the TarHeels. He was a huge NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Darrel Waltrip.
