Donald Miller, 57 of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Don was the son of Donna O. Miller and the late Ronald L. Miller. He graduated from Garinger High School in 1979 and enlisted in the US Navy in 1981, where he proudly served his country. Mr. Miller was a mail handler for 33 years with the US Postal Service.
Don enjoyed working on cars, watching the Miami Dolphins and spending time with his grandchildren. Besides his father, Don was preceded in death by his daughter Ashley.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 33yrs Gwen Miller; daughter Allison Miller both of the home; son Aaron Clarke of Kannapolis; sisters Bonnie Lambert and husband Mike of Sunset Beach, SC., Kelly Sheppard and husband AJ of Waxhaw; brother Chett Miller of Charlotte. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren Danielle, Aleeah, Raleena, Riley and Rodney, numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family members Amanda Bright and Darrian Tobin.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, June 10th from 4-5:45 PM at Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte. A service will follow at 5:45 with Mrs. Tobitha Deese, a family friend, officiating.
