Eric Ryan Elsea

Eric Ryan Elsea was tragically taken from his family October 19th 2018.  He was born in Norfolk, Va on September 24th 1984. Growing up close to the seashore Eric loved spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. His family moved to NC in in 1993 and chose Charlotte to make their home. Eric attended Butler High School. After achieving his high school degree he followed his brothers footsteps into the family trade. While under his father's guidance Eric became a skilled technician in the flooring industry. Eventually owning his own sub contracting business.

Eric's true passion was history, genealogy and his love of family. He was preceded in death by his older brother Richard Elsea III, grandfathers Richard Elsea Sr., Ewell Alen Baker and his Uncle Chris Alen Baker. He is survived by his father Richard Elsea Jr., mother Dawn Elaine Elsea,  nephew Camden Elsea , Grandmothers Elizabeth T Elsea , Rose Marie Bryant as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Eric was a beloved son and brother and fiercely protective of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

A Gathering of family and friends will take place Saturday, October 27th from 5-7 PM at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte.Eric will be laid to rest next to his brother Rich in a private graveside service at Sunset Memory Gardens.
