Our beloved Frances Stone Smith passed away peacefully in her home in Concord, North Carolina on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Frances was born on November 08, 1954 in Durham County, NC to Talley and Mildred Stone. She is preceded in death by her parents Talley and Mildred Stone; sister, Teresa Palma and sister Nancy Stone.
Survivors include her loving husband Dennis Smith; daughter Jennifer Smith; son Dennis Smith; sister Carol Stone Cormier; brother James Stone; granddaughters Bridget and Savannah Smith; grandson Hunter Smith. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances graduated from Jacksonville Senior High School in Jacksonville, NC and held a degree as a Medical Office Assistance from CPCC. She married Dennis, in 1972, in Jacksonville, NC. After moving to Charlotte, NC in the mid 1980's, Frances began working for Charlotte Memorial Hospital and left Northeast Medical Center in 2015 after an injury left her disabled.
The family sincerely thanks the doctors and staff of the Levine’s Cancer Center Northeast and Hospice of Cabarrus County for their attentive care and support of Frances in her final days.
