Gertrud "Trudy" Maria (Dreyling) Schiffers

Gertrud Maria Dreyling Schiffers "Trudy", 77, of Charlotte, NC  formerly of Jülich-Selgersdorf, Germany passed away unexpectedly July 12 at CMC-Main Hospital Charlotte NC.
Trudy was born April 20th, 1940 in Selgersdorf, Germany to the late Paul and Paula Schmitz Dreyling.  She is preceded in death by her brother Paul Josef.  
 Trudy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Klaus-Dieter Schiffers: her children Claudia Schiffers Rutz and husband Devin A. Rutz.  The late Alexandra Johanna Schiffers, son Hans-Thomas Schiffers and wife Anna Thomas Schiffers: and her grandchildren that loved and adored her, Kathryn J. Rutz, Olivia A.R. Schiffers, Thomas M.K. Schiffers and Sophia A. Rutz.  
Trudy was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church and an avid T1D Warrior parent and an  Alzheimer's caregiver to her late mother Paula.  Trudy lived her life dedicated to her family and friends and exuded kindness and love to all that crossed her path.  She lived her life loving on others.  She will be greatly missed to all those that love her.  
A celebration of Trudemie's life will be held Friday August 11th at 11am at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Charlotte NC.  The family will receive friends following the mass.   A reception will be held in the Family Life Center -Fellowship Hall of the church immediately following the ceremony.
