Gloria Helms

Gloria Ann Helms 71 of Hillsville, Virginia formerly of Charlotte died Wednesday February 13, 2019 at her home. Born in Union County, North Carolina on October 18, 1947, Gloria was the daughter of the late Buren and Hazel (Mullis) Simpson. Mrs. Helms attended Oak Grove Church and worked as a secretary for PCA for 22 years. She retired in 2006.00 Gloria and Phillip moved to Hillsville, Virginia 2 years ago.

Gloria was known for her infectious laughter and warm personality. She is survived by her husband Phillip, son Todd and brother Mike Simpson, his wife Gail and their children Justin and Courtney Simpson

Visitation will take place on Monday, February 18th from 1:00 - 1:30PM at Sharon Forest Baptist Church, 10020 East WT Harris Blvd, Charlotte with a service to follow at 1:30 officiated by Reverend Randy Lankford. Burial will take place in Sharon Memorial Park.

Flowers should be sent to Carolina Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte on Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 10-2.
