John Garrien Henderson

John Garrien Henderson went to his heavenly home on 12/24/2017, at 90 years old.  He passed from earth to heaven peacefully, surrounded by family and friends in his last days.  He was born in Cramerton, NC to Lawson and Eva Henderson on 4/4/1927.  He had 3 sisters, 2 who survived him.  He was married to Dare Black for 69 years glorious years.  They had 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

He served the Lord for all of his life, known as a kind, sweet man who loved his Lord, his family and his friends.  He continued to serve after his death by donating his body to medical science.

He served in the US Navy during WW II.  He retired from Charlotte Pipe & Foundry.  He loved to fish, work in his yard and spend time with his family.

His celebration of life service will be on 12/30/2017 at 2 pm at New Covenant Baptist Church located at 5114 Rogers Road Monroe, NC 28110.
