John Graham Webb Jr.

John Graham Webb Jr., 88, died March 11, 2017 in Charlotte, NC.

Born Oct. 1, 1928 in Hillsborough, NC, he was the son of John Graham Webb Sr. and Mary Leigh Webb.

He graduated from Hillsborough High School and attended Virginia Military Institute and the University of North Carolina.

John was married to Marilyn Ann (Kobus) Webb for 52 years and was widowed in 2010.

He was preceded in death by his sister Isabelle Graham Webb of Chapel Hill in 2014.

John is survived by three children, son John Thomas Webb and wife Lucy, daughter Nancy Webb and husband Chuck Lampe, and son James Graham Webb and wife Elizabeth; and by grandchildren John Bennehan Webb, Emily Jane Webb, and Johanna Marie Webb; Elizabeth Webb Lampe; and Lauren Elizabeth Mary Webb and Amanda Leigh Webb.

While growing up in Hillsborough John attended St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 210 St. Mary’s Road. A service will be held for him there on Friday, March 17 at 2 p.m. Burial in the churchyard will follow.
