Kenneth Wayne Parsons

Kenneth Wayne Parsons, 75 of Charlotte, passed away on February 10, 2019 at the Carrington Place Nursing Home.  A Memorial Service will be held in Ken's hometown of Sayville, New York.  Ken was born May 19, 1943 on Long Island, New York and was the eldest of four children born to the late Lorell (Shumway) and Logan Parsons.

Ken graduated from Sayville High School, Trinity College and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for law school.  He served with the US Navy for four years and lived in numerous cities and states through out his life. He practiced Law for two decades recently retired from the vacation timeshare industry. Ken returned to Charlotte to spend time with his sons and grandsons.

Mr. Parsons was a loving and caring soul, who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.  He valued all his friendships and would often travel great distances to visit the ones he loved. He was a very sentimental and nostalgic man.  Ken loved his hometown of Sayville, New York and often shared vivid stories of his youth.  A lifelong sports fan, he often adopted the teams of cities in which he currently lived as his own.  He enjoyed watching his two grandsons play sports.  Ken Parsons will be greatly missed.

Mr. Parsons is survived by his sons  Hunter and Grant;  grandchildren Logan and Liam; brothers Donald and Gary ; and sister Lynn.
