Loretta Jean Rembold

Loretta passed away October 10, 2018 of A.L.S..  She was born in Syracuse, NY and  was the loving wife to Charles Raymond Rembold, daughter of the late Joseph Oscar Hunold and late Frances Eleanor Bulawa.  Loretta's father, mother, and 3 siblings:  The late Robert Hunold(Vera), the late Joseph Hunold (Ruth), the late Frances Fredrickson (Roy), lived in Syracuse, NY until Loretta's father, who worked for the NY Central Railroad, was transfered to Niagara Falls, then to Syracuse and last to Buffalo, NY.  Loretta was in first grade when they moved to Buffalo, NY.  She attended St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Grammar School where she graduated from.  Loretta attended Kensington High School for 3 years. She finished her senior year and graduated from Bennett High School in June 1950.
Loretta worked at Stan's Food Market until February, 1951, where she changed jobs and then was a file clerk for Aetna Life Insurance in downtown Buffalo NY.  She got an opportunity to work the telephone switch board for the Aetna Life Insurance Company.  While she was working at the switchboard, Rita, the other operator (married to Otto), introduced her to "Charlie".  Otto and Charlie were college friends.   Loretta and Charlie met for their date on July 3rd, 1954 (Charlie was home on Army leave).  Charlie and Loretta were married on May , 1956, in St Rosalima Roman Catholic Church, in Buffalo NY.
Loretta continued to work at Aetna until she had their first son (Raymond) was born on June 25th, 1959.  She raised their five children and took care of foster children until 1980.  Then, Loretta went to work at Hill's Department Store in the domestic department.  Loretta took a civil service exam and became a part-time toll collector for the NY State Thruway.  Her last job was a teacher aid  for handicap children at the Erie County BOCES.  She retired in June of 1996.  Loretta, Charles, and their children lived in Buffalo, NY,  Kenmore, NY, and Depew NY.  When Loretta and Charlie retired, they moved to Charlotte, NC, in October, 1996.
Loretta will be remembered for being a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  She and her husband of 62 years had five children; Raymond Charles of Charlotte, NC;  Thomas Joseph (Shirley) of Lockport, NY; Patricia Jean Profic (Brian) of Eden, NY;  Douglas John of Harrisburg, NC;  Mary Joyce of Cattaraugus, NY;  Loretta also has four Grandchildren;  Carson Tyler Profic; Camille Elizabeth Profic;  Caden Duke Profic;  Carly Diana Profic; and a step Grandson David Buchner (Kimberly), a sister in law Florence Helen Rembold of Cheektowaga, NY, and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
