Lucille S Kroboth was born in New York City Sept 4, 1917. At 101, she has passed from this earth on January 24, 2019 and is now with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 40 years Stanley G Kroboth, her 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She loved her children, Stephanie Alder, Timothy ( Kathryn), Kathleen Melville ( Roger), Christine Sloane ( Nick), her 10 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren.
Lucille devoted her life to her Lord, family and community. As member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church she organized the Bereavement ministry; her passion was the elderly and shut-ins by bringing home cooked meals, communion & conversation. As member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church, Lucille was a member of the sewing ministry, where she made altar cloths; clothing for the neonatal babies: lap robes, booties, hats; crochet/knit hats, scarves for the homeless; aprons for Alzheimer; clothing for babies-closure), President, Owls Sr Group, NC Regent, Catholic Daughters of America, Church Women United, Woman of the Year; secretary, Shepherd's Center East; secretary, Diocesan Vicariate Ministry. She enjoyed exercising and excelled in competitive women's bowling after moved to Charlotte in 1954; hoola hooped on her birthday until she turned 90 years old. Fabulous cook and baker she was known for pies and pound cakes. Avid bridge player she played 6 days before death. Lucille loved reading, as a child she tried to read all the books in her local library. Loved to learn. She worked for Charlotte-Meck Library System for over 25 years and the last 10 years at Garinger High School.

A committal service will take place on Saturday, Feb 2nd at 10AM at Evergreen City Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will held at 2PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, with a gathering of family and friends to follow. Donations may be made to St. Gabriel's homeless ministry.
