Dean and Martha were special to me in so many ways. I was a student on the Committee for the Installation of Colvard. As a student leader Dean and I had many good times together, and Martha made some of those even better. After I graduated, I was invited to most University functions and furthered my relationships with Dean and Martha. Dean was always the first person to acknowledge something good happening to me.
Martha was such a grand lady, and had a way of ingratiating herself to everyone she met. She was a joy to be around. While I haven't seen her in some years, she will always hold a special place in my heart.
We rejoice with the family in Martha's homecoming;
We shed tears of sadness with you in your loss:
We lift you up in our hearts for peace and comfort;
And pray that each day gets better and better.
