Rosa (Robinson) Wilkinson

Rosa Robinson Wilkinson, 97 of Charlotte passed away June 9th, 2017. She was born August 29th, 1919 in Gaston county and moved to Moore's Chapel Community in Charlotte at the age of 19 when she married her late husband Adrian M. Wilkinson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Judy Wilkinson McCloud, Her parents and sister and infant sister and a brother.

Survivors include her son, Wayne A. Wilkinson, granddaughters Cindy Wilkinson Balatsias and her husband Terry, Melissa Wilkinson, great grandson John Balatsias great granddaughter Taylor Balatsias. Rosa is also survived by a special cousin, Florea Lawing.

Mrs. Wilkinson spent most of her working career with Belk store services where she retired. She was also a long time member of Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and also served on many church comities until her health started to decline.

A memorial service will be held at Moore’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 12 noon with visitation 30 minutes Prior, on June 13. 2017.
