                                                                                                     Reverend Timothy Howard Glenham
Timothy “Tim” Howard Glenham, 69, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 9, 2017 at the Hospice House of Union County.  He was born on November 30, 1947 in Charlotte, NC and was the son of the late Marvin T. Glenham and Virginia Barefoot Glenham.  He is survived by his loving wife Nancy Herdje Glenham, sons Michael Todd Glenham and Christopher Trey (Emily) Glenham, granddaughter Makenna Glenham, sister Toni (Larry) Kerns, brothers Ty (Cathy) Glenham and Tab (Kathy) Glenham, sister-in-law Carol (Barry) Copeland, and many loving nieces and nephews.  Tim was preceded in death by his sister Tonda (Richard) Aquino.
Tim graduated from Myers Park High School (1966), Lenoir-Rhyne University (1971) where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity, and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (1975).  Prior to his retirement, having served 25 years as “Pastor Tim” at Morning Star Lutheran Church in Matthews, NC, he served as pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Goldsboro, NC, and Augsburg Lutheran Church in Winston-Salem, NC.   Following his retirement, he served as interim pastor of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC.
Tim loved spending time with family and friends, playing golf, playing the harmonica, cheering on the Carolina Panthers, bowling, playing church softball (in his younger years), and traveling.  His love for youth found him sharing many wonderful experiences including coaching youth basketball and taking youth to National Lutheran Youth Gatherings.  While his extended service activities are too numerous to mention, highlights for him included leading Via de Cristo, participating with the Kairos Prison Ministry, and taking mission trips to Guatemala and El Salvador.
The family will receive family and friends at Morning Star Lutheran Church in Matthews, NC from 9:30AM to 10:45AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, followed by a Celebration of Life Service Blessed by God at 11AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the “Building Program” at Morning Star Lutheran Church, 12509 Idlewild Rd. Matthews, NC 28105.
