Ginny King

Mrs. Virginia J. King “Ginny,” 60, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 after a brief illness. Ginny was born on October 4, 1957 in Manville, NJ to Vincent and Geraldine Jerlinski.  She graduated from Manville High School and attended Montclair College. She married Karl R. King, Sr., in 1979, and moved to Charlotte.

Ginny was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America and her church family at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. She also loved camping and the simple things. A devoted friend and faithful servant, Ginny was optimistic and determined. She will be missed greatly by everyone who knew her.

Preceded in death by her husband, Karl R. King, Sr., Ginny is survived by: son Vinny King of Charlotte, son Karl King, Jr (Melinda) of Butner, NC, daughter Kathy Rebescher (Brian) of Fort Mill, SC; grandchildren Grace and Noah King and Lauren Rebescher; brother Vinnie Jerlinski (Cindy Lou), brother Mike Jerlinski (Michelle), sister Mary Bianchi (Robert), brother-in-law Jack King (Linda); several nieces and nephews; and her very special companion Joe Clorite.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Carolina Funeral and Cremation Center 5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC. A funeral mass will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 from 11am-12pm at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Rd. Charlotte, NC. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC.
