Betty C. Rigley

Betty C Rigley (Betty Ruth) was born on August 11, 1940, and was called to her heavenly home on October 30, 2022. Betty has reunited with her parents John W and Mildred Chance, her siblings Ted Chance, J.W. Chance, Shirley Moore, her grandson Ronald D. McCroskey Jr, and her lifelong/dearest friend Peggy Sills. 

She is survived by her husband Brian G. Rigley of 43 years, her three children Charles R McCroskey Jr, Lincolnton NC,  Ronald D McCroskey Sr. (Phyllis), Rockingham NC, Susan M Warlick (Charles), Cornelius NC as well as her stepchildren Brian G. Rigley (Heather), Dallas TX, Chris Atkins, Asheboro NC, and Marlo Rigley, Granite Falls NC and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive her as well. 

She enjoyed spending her days on trips to the beach and mountains when she was able. However,  home was her favorite place to be. She was certain to never miss an episode of The Price Is Right accompanied by a glass of wine. She was a joyous, kindhearted, and determined individual. She had a fiery strength about her that carried her through the face of adversity. Her unforgettable vibrant smile and contagious laughter, which was certain to brighten anyone's day. A smile that will live in the hearts of every life she's touched in her 82 years.

 A private celebration will be held at the home on Thursday, November 3 from 12:00 - 2:00. Memorial donations may be made to Novant Health Hospice at P.O. Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.
