Beverly Ann (Barber) Whaley

Beverly Barber Whaley, 85, of Charlotte, surrounded by her family, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021.  Mrs. Whaley was born in Bainbridge, GA, on March 1, 1936 to the late James Sanford Barber and Madge Burns Barber.

Besides her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Guy, and Jerry.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Charles E. Whaley of Charlotte; son Curtis (wife Alexandra and grandson Samuel Charles Whaley) of Crystal Lake, IL and daughter Madge of St Paul, MN.

Beverly has been a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church for many years. She was very active in various church functions. Mrs. Whaley was strong in her faith, loved her friends and family and never met a stranger. She was loved deeply by her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.

She spent the majority of her working career in church preschool education. She was the Director of the Carmel Presbyterian Weekday School for over 10 years.

A memorial service will be held July seventh 2021 at 2:00PM for family and friends at St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 6800 Sardis Rd, Charlotte, NC 28270.
