Brian Ellis Dalton

On Friday, September 2^nd Brian Ellis Dalton, loving father, husband, and friend, passed away at the age of 53.  Brian was born on December 23, 1968 in Knoxville, TN to Karen Hildebrand Dalton and Terry Ellis Dalton. A graduate of East Mecklenburg High School, Brian was an extremely bright individual who studied at UNC Charlotte. He went on to work in the family firm, Dalton Moran Robinson Architecture, and eventually started his own successful general contracting firm, Five D Contractors, Inc. 

Brian was an avid music fan, motorcycle and car enthusiast, and someone who loved to laugh and have fun.  He enjoyed cycling, spending time with family and friends, and was always up for a new adventure.  His quick wit and zest for life made him a pleasure to be around.  Brian will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. 

Preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, Brian is survived by his wife Cara; daughters Hanna, Ellison, and Ava;  father Terry Dalton and wife Linda; mother Karen Dalton; brother Jason and wife Christie;  sister Shelley Wilfong and husband Shawn; brother Jacob Levinson; nephews and nieces Andrew and Jackson Dalton; Carter, Landen and Blake Wilfong;  Alyssa and Kevin Goncalves; and Jacob Gallagher; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A memorial service celebrating Brian's life will be held in Charlotte on Friday, September 16 at Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center at 5505 Monroe Road. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm and the service will begin at 7:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the North Carolina chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention https://afsp.org/chapter/north-carolina
