Demetrios A. Bazionis

It is with profound sadness that the family of Demetrios A. Bazionis announces his peaceful passing on January 30th 2022 at the age of 82 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Margie Bazionis; children: Jackie Gardner and Tommy Bazionis; grandchildren Crystal Meli, Thomas Bazionis, and Mila Bazionis; sisters Dena Ivros, Despina Zagana and Eleni Gourgiotis; brother Bobby Bazionis; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Demetrios was born in Mouzilo Greece, on June 20th 1939 and migrated to the United States in 1955 when he was just 16 years old. Demetrios went on to be a successful restauranteur of multiple restaurants in the Charlotte area. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, playing poker, and fishing.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Carolina Funeral Service & Cremation Center (5505 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212-5503). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at the Evergreen City Cemetery (4426 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28215).
