Diane C. Bradley, 80, of Charlotte NC, formerly of the Binghamton NY area, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Presbyterian Hospital. Born February 2, 1939 in Rochester NY, a daughter to the late C. Samuel and Hulda Howeis Maggio. Diane was a graduate of Irondequoit High School and graduated with a Masters in Education from UNC Charlotte.
Diane is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard E. “Dick” Bradley, and her children Jeffrey C. Bradley of Penn Yan NY, Laurie Bradley Good of Victor NY and Stephanie C. Bradley of Grover PA; three grandchildren, Ryan (Abigail) Good of Denver CO, Megan (William) Hoffman of Greenville NC, and Dylan P. Bradley of Nashville TN; one great-granddaughter Mabel Grace Good as well as niece, Karen, and nephews, Brad, Michael, and Mark.
Diane had a fun-loving, playful spirit and a feisty sense of humor. She was an avid gardener, but if you were an orchid, your days were numbered. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and Quiddler with family and friends, although she was a mediocre Quiddler player at best. An excellent cook and generous hostess, Diane always had PLENTY of food on hand hoping for a visit from her favorite team the Carolina Panthers. One never knew what wondrous items might be found in her refrigerator. Her job with American Greetings afforded her the luxury to share an abundance of paper products with her family and friends, and their friends, and their friends. She had an extensive collection of Seagrove pottery, thus the beginning of the Mint Hill Seagrove Outlet. Diane was active with the Dalmatian rescue and loved walking her beloved dogs, Dally and Comet. This was evident in her screams of joy as Dally dragged her and her walker down the street in pursuit of a squirrel. We hope you appreciate our humor; we know Mom would.
The family has decided there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make donations to the Dalmatian Rescue of Southwest Virginia or Samaritan’s Purse.
