Donald Wayne Allman, 68 of Concord passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Hospice House following a brief illness. Born July 28, 1955 he was the son of the late Curtis A. and Carol M. Allman.
Donald was a 1973 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School and member of the NW Pep Band. The Pep Band playing for Davidson Basketball home games led to a lifelong love and devotion to the Wildcats that lasted for over 40 years.
Along with his wife Kathy, Donald traveled loyally to games near and far supporting the coach and team over these past 4 decades.
Donald retired as Superintendent of Carolina Cemetery Park after 40 years of dedicated service. Always an avid golfer, he remained passionate about the sport throughout his life and into his retirement.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Oaks United Methodist Church, 1020 Kansas Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083 on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. where he was a member and choir director. The Rev. Larry Clifton, Rev. Chad Irons, and Rev. Andy Langford will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-3 p.m. prior to the service.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife and best friend Kathy Cline
Allman; siblings Rick Allman and Kathy Cress along with many nieces,
nephews and lifelong friends.
