Doris Ann (Howard) Wright

Doris H. Wright, 92, beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 27, 2023 at Atrium Health Pineville hospital. She will be missed by all those that loved her dearly.

She was born July 19, 1930, to Jay Flake Howard and Arlene Thompson Howard, in Mooresville, North Carolina. Doris graduated from Central High School, Mooresville, Class of 1948 and married her high school sweetheart, Richard Henry Wright, in 1952. They celebrated 63 years of marriage in January 2015. 

Doris was predeceased by her husband, Richard Wright. Surviving are her daughter, Lynda Albert and husband, Lew, of Punta Gorda, Florida; her son, Chuck Wright and wife, Janie, of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Audrey Wright and fiancé, Ben Supplee, of Leland, NC; and Ashlea Pierce and husband, Cole, of Tampa, Florida.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, March 31st at Triplett United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mooresville, North Carolina, with a service of remembrance to be held at 11am, Saturday, April 1st at Myers Park United Methodist Church - Francis Chapel, 1501 Queens Road, Charlotte, North Carolina 28207.
