Douglas Fink Obituary

Douglas James Fink, born March 27,1953, beloved son and brother, departed this life on October 23, 2024, for Heaven's gate after a seven year fight with cancer. He was predeceased by both parents, Oscar J. Fink and Eva Mae Pepper Fink.    

There will be a graveside service on Friday, November 1st at 2PM in Sharon Memorial Park with Pastor Ben Cline will be officiating.

Douglas attended the University of North Carolina and Central Piedmont Community College. He owned his own electrical contracting company, DJ Electric Company. Douglas enjoyed all activities that involved pools, the ocean or lakes. His interests also included care of the environment and preservation of all wildlife. Being helpful and generous were common for Douglas. Our world is a better place for having Douglas here with us.

Douglas is survived by three loving sisters:  Sonja (Terry) Hall, Barbara Dorton and Trina (Rick) Godwin.

There are six nephews and nieces: Deborah Hall, Rodney Hall, Brian Hall (deceased), Emily Knight, Casey Knight and Jessica Godwin.

Great nephews and nieces include Susan Yucra, Taylor Hall, Brandon Embry, and Hailey and Peyton Hawes.
