Carol Eaves Taylor, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
She was born in Charlotte on June 2, 1936 to William M. Eaves and Evelyn Nesbit Eaves. She is survived by a devoted son, Jeffery Taylor, his wife, Barbara and one granddaughter, Allison. Also surviving is a brother, Phil Eaves and wife, Betty of Conway, South Carolina, along with numerous cousins and nieces.
She graduated from Harding High School in 1954 and put herself through accounting classes at CPCC, retiring from Ingersoll Rand as the Comptroller, previously working with F. H. Ross & Co. in Charlotte, along with a number of part-time positions to support her family.
A dedicated member and Deacon of Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, she was active in Sunday School and Women on Mission. She leaves behind many, many friends at Pritchard. A lifelong member of Friendship Force of Charlotte for 31 years, she loved traveling and meeting people from every continent except Antarctica. She was also a member of the Charlotte Airport Community Task Force.
She always thought of others before herself and a true blessing to all that knew her. The family wishes to sincerely thank their family, friends and those who called, sent cards, sent food and otherwise assisted throughout this difficult time.
A memorial service is planned for a later date. Memorials may be sent to Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church.
