Eugene Duane Williams

Eugene Duane Williams, age 51 of Charlotte passed away on Friday, December 5th, 2025. Duane was born October 2, 1974.

Duane attended CMS schools in his youth. He was a hardworking and dedicated employee at Accel Welding, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature. He also previously worked for Hunter Auto and Wrecker Service, and Terex, where he built lasting relationships and strengthened his reputation as a reliable and skilled worker. He took pride in his work and the connections he made throughout the years. Duane attended The Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.

He is survived by his loving mother, Clarice Williams; his daughter Shelby Williams (Jamal); his son, Richard Williams (JayAnna); his beloved granddaughters, Halo Cook and Ariana Williams; his sister, Elizabeth Champion (Rodney); his aunt Diane Taylor (Raymond); his uncle, Chucky Crump (Barbara); and cousins, Pete Taylor (Penny) and Kenneth Taylor (Karen), along with a number of other loving relatives and friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents, Clarence Crump and JoAnn Crump; and his cousin, Justin Taylor.

A Celebration of Duane's Life will take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 12 Noon at the Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic.  The family will receive friends at the church from 11-12.

Duane will be remembered for his strength, his kind heart, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
