We are honored to respectfully announce the death of our kind and lovable Grant Parsons. He attended Myers Park High School and Appalachian State University. Grant passed away Sept. 16, 2023 at sunset amongst his adoring family and friends. Grant was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Parsons. Grant is survived by his loyal and loving wife and canine children, Laura, Ruby and Annie, his heartbroken mother Cheryl, his big brother (whom Grant clearly admired so much) Hunter and his wife Lisa and their boys (Grants nephews) Liam and Logan. Grant is also survived by his beautiful collection of treasured friends and his respected coworkers. Grant truly brought the best people around him by being one of the most beautiful humans himself. Grant will forever be remembered for his sweet and gentle nature, his generosity, and his sweet, tender heart so big it seemed impossible to contain his love. Grants kindness, understanding, and good humor vibed tangibly amongst us, and he will be sorely missed by us all. Grant was a peacemaker, a lover, and a genuinely happy man who loved nature, music and his dogs. Grant loved his work, and spent a quarter of a century as a brilliant craftsman. He was so very proud of his work, the folks he worked for and with, whom with he clearly shared a camaraderie. We wish to offer gratitude and great appreciation for the wonderful friends supporting this family as they grieve. Please continue these gestures—you are a gift. We also hope to thank Levine Cancer Center (Dr. Daniel Haggstrom and nurse Allison) for their assistance in caring for this good man. Celebration of Life plans and details to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Humane Society at the following link in Grant’s name: Donation Form https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=hsc&id=72
