Henrietta (Numann) Sidebottom

Henrietta Sidebottom passed away on November 2nd, 2022, at the age of 85.  She was born in Louisville, KY on March 7th,1937 to Margaret and Elmer Numann.  She graduated from Ahrens Trade School with a full scholarship to college.  She chose to marry the love of her life, William Sidebottom, who she lovingly referred to as Junnie.  They were married at the Christ Church Cathedral in Louisville and were married for 66 years.  They started a family and Henrietta became a homemaker for several years.   She moved to Charlotte, NC in 1975 where she resided until her death.

While living in Charlotte, Henrietta worked for 20 years at United Parcel Service until she retired.  She held many jobs there and made lifelong friends over the years.  Henrietta was a special person who loved people unconditionally.  All who knew her loved her immediately.  She was a great cook and would take joy in feeding you or baking you a birthday cake.  Those cakes were delicious and full of love.  Henrietta was also very creative.  She painted ceramics for several years, including a beautiful Nativity Set that we still love to display.  Henrietta loved children of all ages and enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, Godchildren and any children she had the pleasure to meet. 

Henrietta will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends who will always cherish the many memories made with her.  She is survived by her husband, William Sidebottom; her son, Steven Sidebottom; her daughter, Sharon Carter (Bill); her six grandchildren, Ashely (Rob), Daniel (Erin), Ryan (Mason), Matthew (Katie), Amanda and Kimberly, including four great grandchildren, Hannah, Lila, Braeden and Isla.  She is also survived by her two brothers, William Numann and Bernard Numann.  She is preceded in death by her sons, Gregory Sidebottom (Phyllis) and Michael Sidebottom.  Also, preceding her in death are a brother, Norman and four sisters; Betty, Geraldine, Violet and JoAnn. Henrietta is survived by many other family members who she loved very much.

Services will be held on Saturday November 12th, 2022,

 at Carolinas Funeral Services & Cremation Center

5505 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. 

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm

followed by funeral service at 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
