Jeanette (Berryhill) Warwick

Amelia Jeanette Berryhill Warwick, age 97, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with The Lord on July 26, 2021, at Little Flower Assisted Living Facility on Lawyers Rd.  She was the daughter of the late Parks I. Berryhill Sr. and Carrie Anna Fulk Berryhill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William Dean “Shakey,” Warwick and her sister Louise Berryhill Warwick.

She was a 1942 graduate of Central High School in Charlotte and attended Queens College.  She worked at RKO Radio Pictures Studio in Charlotte.  Not only was she a wonderful Christian mother and grandmother, she was also a Sunday school teacher for many years at Third Presbyterian Church as well as a kindergarten teacher at Third Presbyterian Church, Mouzon United Methodist Church, Eastway Christian Church, and Amity Presbyterian Church.  She was a longtime member of Third Presbyterian Church and was awarded the “Women of The Church Honorary Life Membership,” by the Women of Third Presbyterian Church, September 24, 1978.

Jeanette was affectionately known as Jet, Miss Nette, Momma, and Granette.  She enjoyed flowers, birds, creating and directing Christmas plays with her grandchildren, painting with water colors, playing in a recorder group, working with the Shepherds Center East, and hosting family birthdays and cookouts.

Jeanette is survived by her sons: Benny Warwick (Jane), Alan Warwick (Jo), and Eddie Warwick (Vicki) of Charlotte, and Mike Warwick (Peggy) of Cumming, Ga., as well as grandchildren: Stephen Warwick, Carrie Parker, Emily Knopp, Sarah Robinson, Michelle Miller, Scott Goodwin, and twelve great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Parks I. Berryhill Jr. of Winston Salem and sister, Deanie Tiddy, of Charlotte, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at Little Flower Assisted Living Facility and Hospice & Palliative Care Team for their kindness.

Visitation will be at Third Presbyterian Church from 12:30 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Aug.7, 2021, in the Fellowship Hall with a Celebration of Life Service following in the Sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Jay Weigel and Rev. Stephen Knopp.  The burial will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 7407 Steele Creek Rd. following the service.
