John Burdette King III

John Burdette King III of Charlotte NC passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, surrounded by family members. John was born on June 19, 1942, to John Burdette King Jr and Dorothy Walters King.

John was married to his high school sweetheart, Marsha Stephens King, on June 24, 1961. Together they lived a life of dedication to faith and family.

John was a man of faith and trusted in his Lord Jesus Christ as savior. John lived out his faith through service to the Lord and his church, Mulberry Baptist Church, where he served in many capacities, including Deacon for many years.

John was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially rabbit hunting. John loved to run the dogs.

John was a lifelong electrician and retired with 30 years of service to Howard Brothers Electric Co.

John is survived by his wife (Marsha King) of 63 years.

Children: Mike (Anita) King, David (Carole) King

Grandchildren: Jennifer Davila, Alex Davila, Katie (Kevin) McDuffie, Matthew (Jennifer) King, Emily King, Andrew (Krystal) King, Catherine (Blake) Bohn.

Great grandchildren: Lileigh Campbell, Kylee McDuffie, Hailee Campbell, Jacob King, Autumn Hopkins, Christopher King, Daniel King, Harper Hopkins.

Grave Side memorial will be held at Sharon Memorial Park on Thursday 11/7/24 at 1:30pm. The King family extends an invitation to all.
