Ken Wood was a man who loved nothing more than being with his family. He was a father to six children and “Papa” to 12 grandchildren, who believe that he may have hung the moon. Not only a family man, he was a man of God, a sailor, artist, and friend. Ken was a true gentleman, in every way imaginable.
His hands told a story; each time he talked, as an artist, and as a healer of many throughout his career. He was a brilliant, incredibly caring physician. A true man of integrity.
He loved watching sports and was a devoted fan of the Florida Gators, Duke Blue Devils, and Carolina Panthers - through the good and the bad, and there’s been a fair amount of bad to get through lately.
He had a faith in God that carried him through life with the kind of grace and peace that few, if any, can muster. An inspiration to so many, even those that didn’t know him, he has left a beautiful legacy for family and friends alike.
He was full of life and love, grateful for every experience and person he encountered, and truly enjoyed all the blessings of life.
The memories of his humor and love will sustain the people he left behind.
A service to celebrate Ken's Life will take place on Saturday, January 11th at 2PM at Williamson's Chapel United Methodist Church, Mooreville. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
