Impossible to capture the light in your eyes, mischief in your laugh, ever expanding room in your heart. You loved and cared for family, friends, strangers. The children you taught not only learned but were adopted. You were always beautiful whether in dress and heels or denim and flannel preferred as a tomboy. You are not gone. The lessons and memories imparted to us all live on.

Laurie Dobbeck, 76 passed peacefully at her home in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 29th, 2024. She was born April 3rd, 1948, to the late Walter E. Gray Sr. and Eleanor T. Gray. Survived by her husband of 48 years, William Dobbeck “Dobbs”; her daughter Kate Dobbeck; her son Will Dobbeck and wife Joanna and granddaughter Andi; dear late brother William Gray “Big Bill”; dear brother Walter E. Gray Jr. “Cap” and wife Jean; dear brother Jon Gray and wife Dee; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
